For almost a century the railway served Llanuwchllyn well. It had carried farmers’ livestock and all manner of local produce off to market; it had carried generations of local children off to school; it had carried the post and the newspapers and people on journeys great and small; it brought in vital supplies of coal and coke; and fertilisers and feedstuffs for agriculture. It brought the village and its inhabitants into the modern age and changed their lives forever; and it was badly missed by many when it was gone. This book attempts to recall some memories from that time.
